Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy Services for Rehabilitation and Function

Physiotherapy is regarded as the mechanical therapy mode. As physical therapists, we work with injuries to the muscles, bones and nerves. This ranges from back pain to sports, work or trauma injuries from a motor vehicle or industrial accident. Working from diagnosis to discharge, helping rehabilitate people to resolve or manage pain, regain their function and capacity, enabling them to return to sport or work and live as well as possible with disability.

Physiotherapy is recommended following most surgeries, from joint replacements like hips, knees and shoulders through to organs such as lungs and heart valves. Physiotherapy helps with regaining function with a new joint and cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation for managing activity levels and mobility after heart surgery or lung resection.

Physiotherapy can also benefit people living with long-term health conditions such as arthritis by reducing pain and improving or maintaining function up to the point of surgery. Physiotherapists can provide therapies and advice for people living with other health conditions such as COPD or Emphysema, helping maintain a quality of life and activity.

Physiotherapy can help people with neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease or Stroke by engaging in mechanical therapy and working with the body to minimise losses, make meaningful gains and maintain quality of life.

Physiotherapy can also assist with mobility for our elders and those less able by assisting with walking aids or engaging in therapies to help reduce impairments to mobility. Physiotherapy is a comprehensive and varied practice with many specialised areas.

Physio Mobile is fully equipped to attend sporting events and games. Physiotherapy can assist with the strapping of historical injuries pre-game, warm-up therapies, side-line medic services, post-game assessments and recovery therapies.

Physio Mobile is a general practice and offers a range of services as the needs of the community are just as wide and varied as the therapies on offer.
